Tri-dimensional goals, such as knowledge and capability, process and method, and emotion and value in the new Standard of English Curriculum, are brought forward according to the needs of modern science and technology. As one part of education, English teaching should not only train the students ' communicative abilities, but also develop the students' active emotional attitude, cultural awareness and noble morality, besides have the comprehensive qualities of self-determinate abilities, innovative abilities and problem-solving abilities. There are five aspects, language skills, language knowledge, emotional attitude, learning strategies and cultural awareness, which are included in fundamental English curriculum, and its whole aim is to develop abilities of all-round language-commanding. While the formation of all-round language-commanding is based on the integration and development of five aspects, and they boost the formation of all-round language together.Goals of curriculum is the first element of curriculum, while the tri-dimensional goals are the point of curriculum informational aim. We should set up firmly entire-people education look and whole- life education look according to the aims established by standard of curriculum in our education conception, and meanwhile, we should do task-based teaching activities combined the practical situation to promote the reaching of "tri-dimensional goals". This article included three parts. In the first part, it states mainly the elementary theory of tri-dimensional goals in English course, it illustrates the conception of tri-dimensional goals in English course and the relationship among three dimensions each other. It makes people know tri-dimensional goals in English course fully and systematically from theory stature. It also analyzes the problems and bewilderment existing in class practice over the English course tri-dimensional goals, and puts forward the integration means and the theory origin of tri-dimensional goals in class utilizing. The third part, it mainly analyzes the vital approaches of abilities reaching by all-round English language use, that is, the task-based teaching approach. It introduces briefly the basic theories and characteristics of task-based teaching approach, and the worthwhile watchful problem in its implement and with the application of task-based teaching approach in English teaching process, it analyzes the ways of English course goals-reaching, too.
