Specific research approaches, such as observation, interview, test method, and works analysis, are adopted in the research process. The research intervention objects are two children suffering emotional disturbance in Kindergarten. The individual case is put together with the whole class, and all the children are asked to participate in the activities. Individual guidance given to the case follows the activities. The research designs twelve intervention activities in total. The activities are carried out about twice a week and each activity lasts about fifty to sixty minutes. Materials are collected by ways of sound recording, video recording and photograph-taking during the activities. The emotions and behaviors of the case during the intervention activities are recorded and the art works of the case are also taken into consideration with the purpose of having a projiecion analysis of the emotional state of the case. Based on"Behavioral and Emotional Rating Scale","Observation Recording Table of Children's Behavior"and"House-Tree-Person Projective", the research probes into the effects of therapeutically-oriented class art activities on young children's emotional disturbance. The feedback of teachers and parents are taken as evidences for the effects. The following conclusions are drawn based on the research results:1. By analyzing the behaviors and art works of the two cases during the twelve therapeutically-oriented class art activities, the researcher finds out that both of the two cases make progress of different degrees in both the artistic expression of their works and the individual emotion and behavior.2. Before and after the therapeutically-oriented class art activities, the researcher has the two cases do the"House-Tree-Person Projective"respectively and makes a comparative analysis. The result shows that after the two cases participate in the therapeutically-oriented class art activities, the content and the feature of their art works improve by different degrees.3. Before and after the therapeutically-oriented class art activities, the researcher has the parents of the two cases and two teachers do"Behavioral and Emotional Rating Scale"test respectively and makes a comparative analysis of the data. The result shows that the marks given by the parents and the teachers after the two cases participate in the therapeutically-oriented class art activities are higher.4. In accordance with"Observation Recording Table of Children's Behavior", the researcher observes and records the emotional state, the way they contact with their peers and the misbehaviors of the two cases.
