| Mental health is a persistent activity developing psychological state in which people is not only out of ill, but also can adapt oneself to society very much, educe all that is best in man. Mental health is an important part of health, and the powerful guarantee of good life, effective study and work. Therefore, mental health is attached importance to and researched into widely by every field.Non-military baccalaureate nursing students are the special crowd in military medical schools with military reformation. They were enrolled in while they did not enter the service and were not assigned after graduation. But they are limited by the administering system of military medical schools. Consequently, they had more mental problems. Nursing students are the workers of healing the wounded and rescuing the dying in the future. Mental health is an important condition of eligible nursing students and an estimating standard whether they will be competent for nursing work after they graduate too. Therefore, the mental health of nursing students has come to more and more our attention. How is the mental health of nursing students? What factor induced the mental health of nursing students to go down? How is the mental health of nursing students advanced effectively? The studies of the mental health of nursing students give us some theories and methods to solve these problems. However, there have been seldom related researches on the characteristics of mental health and the mental training of non-military baccalaureate nursing students in military medical schools in China and on abroad. The Study, especially on the non-military baccalaureate nursing students in military medical schools, has not found yet. Thus, the study on the characteristics of mental health of non-military baccalaureate nursing students in military medical schools and the effect of mental training can be of real significance in developing nursing psychology and cultivating eligible nurses for school theoretically and practically. This study chooses non-military baccalaureate nursing students in military medical schools as objectives, adopts the research methods of investigative method, correlate analysis, regression analysis, path analysis, factor analysis, mental training etc. This study has delineated the outline of characteristics of mental health of nursing students, explored the influencing factors of mental health, discovered some stressors, automatic thoughts and social supports of nursing students and analyzed the effect of mental training.The result of this study brings about the following conclusions:1. 35.57% nursing students have various mental problems, especially grade two nursing students. Their mental problems mainly include psychoticism, obsessive-compulsive, anxiety, phobic anxiety, interpersonal sensitivity and depression (T=5.06,4.98,4.07,3.06,2.63,P<0.01;T=2.34,P<0.05). Therefore, the state of mental health of nursing students is not too good to a certain extend.2. There was significant correlation among the total score of SCL-90 and the score of automatic thoughts, negative coping style, life events, psychoticism, neuroticism and social supports (r=0.822,0.353,0.502,0.305,0.656,-0.342,P<0.01) .3. Automatic thoughts, life events and neuroticism had 78.6% predictive value for mental health. Among the total, automatic thoughts had 67.6% predictive value for mental health, and life events and neuroticism had 7.7% and 3.3% predictive value for mental health respectively.4. Automatic thoughts, life events and neuroticism affected mental health directly while extraversion, negative coping style, lie, social support, active coping style and psychoticism affected mental health indirectly.5. The stressors of nursing students mainly include self-confident shortage, punished factor, overweight pressure, worrying the future and disharmonious interpersonal relationship.6. The mental training decreased significantly these symptoms of phobic anxiety,psychoticism, obsessive-compulsive and anxiety (T=4.23,3.31,2.58,P<0.01;T=2.34, P<0.05). Consequently, mental health can be enhanced by the mental training. |
