With the change of the medical science mode, the higher request is put forward to nurses for the whole of psychosomatically nursing of patients. Mental quality already becomes an important part of comprehensive quality.Being a special group of society, students in nursing secondary school not only need to complete heavy leaning tasks, but also accept the strict vocational training and to face various stressors. The mental quality of nursing students, therefore, affects whether they can smoothly complete their educational achievements and insure the nursing quantity of the future.In my research, 200 nursing female students from Da Li and Chu Xiong nursing secondary schools in Yunnan were surveyed by SCL-90, EPQ, CR, and ER89. The results indicated as follows:1. Currently, the students' mental healthy level of nursing secondary schools in Yunnan was lower than that of the national normal, their problems of mental healthy were serious, their main mental problems were anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, and somatization, respectively.2. In some tiems, there existed significant differences among areas, national minorities and grades. Generally, the level of students' mental health in Chu Xiong nursing secondary school were lower than that of Da Li nursing secondary school, and the level of students' mental health in grade one were also lower than that of grade two. However, no significant national minority difference was found.3. Nursing school students tended to use oppression when facing stressors, while national minority students showed more fantasy than that of the Han student.4.The bacic personal characters of Da Li nursing secondary school students were of introversion. Chu Xiong nursing secondary school showed introversion and lower scores of lies. In addition, among whom national minorities showed higher scores of psychotics than that of the Han students.
