Hume disclosed the problem of the possibility of Inductive Logic, the rationality of inductive inference and the difficulty in proving the validity of the rationality of Inductive Logic in a strict way of demonstration, it is, how to deduce general conclusions from finite experience. This is the famous problem called "Hume's problem". Hume was the first person who questioned the Inductive Logic in the history of Inductive Logic, so Hume's question has an important position in the history of Inductive Logic . There have been many solutions to Hume's question, but none is perfect. Although Inductive Logic still has been queried these days, it has been developed quickly and been widely used in practice more and more. This thesis focuses on Hume's question, discusses on the widespread use of Inductive Logic in practice, for example, the use in scientific research, natural science, social science and so on, to defend the rationality of Inductive Logic. Inductive Logic's development trend also indicates the rationality. The thesis is divided into three parts:The first part: Hume's question and it's solutions. This section refers to Hume's question, the solutions of Hume's question and each solution's advantage and drawback. The second part: The solution to practical necessity of Inductive Logic. This part pays attention to the practical necessity of Inductive Logic. Discussion on the function of Inductive Logic in scientific discovery and scientific assessment, indicating the practical necessity of Inductive Logic in scientific research; Discussion on the use of Inductive Logic in computer, artificial intelligence and so on, indicating the practical necessity of Inductive Logic in natural science; Discussion on the wide use of Inductive Logic in criminal investigation and something like that, indicating the practical necessity of Inductive Logic in social science. The third part: The rationality of Inductive Logic's development trend. This part discusses the position of Inductive Logic in Logic, the function of Inductive Logic in Informal Logic's research and Inductive Logic's recent development.
