The Possibilities And Realistic For Cultural Identity

Globalization is seen as making the world become one community. However, the problem of cultural conflict is important in today's global communication, especially, under this global environment. China, as a developing country, experiences the difficult problem of cultural identity as other countries. This research is attempted to discuss the possibilities of the cultural identity, which base on the environment of globalization and linking with fact of Chinese culture development.This research includes four sections.Section one: Brief introduction to globalization. Identify the differences of cultural concepts and examine the problems in the process of cultural identity by the viewing from internationally and individually.Section two: The representative western culture which from the developed countries bring a lot ethical culture impact to other developing countries. Like in China, this impact results in a cultural crisis. This section expatiate the influences of western culture to Chinese culture, researcher also considered that the bases of this impact was from the unbalanced international system and cultural hegemony.Section three: Discuss the possibilities and realistic premise conditions for cultural identity by measuring from four parts of cultural characters: nationality, times/period, tradition, values and cultural subject. However, during the process of cultural identity, everyone needs to keep the pure characters of nationality. Secondly, use the characters of times/period as the guidance for China's cultural identity and development. Then, make the right choice base on traditions. Finally, culture's subject makes the cultural identity choice by the right values.Section four: Culture always is a part of Modern development and globalization process. Moreover, globalization is the encounter of different cultures. Nowadays, global economic activities make every countries become closer. Moreover, culture has its own general characters and people face similar problems. Hence, there is a possibility for cultural identity. However, problem still exists, such as imbalanced economic development level, the ideological differentiation, different ways for cultural development and different levels of cultural identity.
