Illustration, as an art form, is not only children's earliest mean to feeling the world in their childhood, but also arouse children's aesthetic response. It is an important way to develop children's aesthetic sense. In this vision age, there are more and more children's illustrations appearing on the stage of children's books publishing. In this digital age, computer technology is at a dominative place. The styles of Chinese children's reading illustrations have appeared some multicultural new characters. The performances of the illustrations have appeared a new development different from the past, which is that thousand-of- years traditional hand-painted illustrations have been overturned, and modern digital illustrations have become a new form of expression. Nowadays, in such a variety of artistic expression will children's aesthetic preferences emerge some new features?This study is based on previous studies, starting from the point that the new background of the Chinese children's illustrates reading. One, to understand the major styles, forms and its development and change in children's reading illustration through literature analysis. To know the development process of Chinese children's books illustration and the main illustration styles, performances and forms which pre-school children can read, that is, the status quo of Chinese children's illustrations appreciation, in today's Chinese children's books market through illustrators interview. Second, through experiments and interviews, to determine the typical illustrations in style, form, style and performance. And study explored per-school children's aesthetic preferences trends, ages and genders from two latitude "like" and "dislike" in order to refer to art materials design, to children's publishing in multi-media competition and to provide relevant teaching strategies for art education employees.The results show that:1. Past and present, the world children's reading illustrations have experienced changes, that from a single style of realism to the coexistence of diverse styles such as realism, cartoon fairy tales, children's graffiti, comic, strange, collage and so on, from traditional hand-drawn expressions to modern digital expressions.2. At present, there are 4 kinds of mainstream styles in children's reading illustrations in the Chinese market: lyrical realism style, cartoon fairy tale style, comic style and children's graffiti style. And there are two common sub-styles in digital children's illustration, vector graph and analog hand-drawn. There are two performances of the illustrations, traditional hand-drawn and modern digital. Due to style and form are comprehensive used to express the meaning in specific paintings, the illustrations show composite styles and forms. Now Chinese children can enjoy about seven comprehensive types of illustration. There are realistic hand-painted style, hand-painted fairy-tale style, hand-drawn comics style, computers vector graph, computer hand-drawn and computer comics.3. In illustration style, pre-school children like cartoon style, and dislike comic style; In the form of performance, pre-school children dislike the traditional hand-painted illustrations; In style and form the type of comprehensive, pre-school children demonstrated the aesthetic preferences of the two integrated. They like the computer hand-painted, and dislike hand-drawn cartoons;4. Boys and girls have different aesthetic preferences on illustrations. Boys like comic style. And girls like cartoon fairy-tale style. Girls dislike hand-drawn cartoons more than boys;5. Oral report: Children's aesthetic goes beyond the scope of content and color. It develops in comprehensive ways, such as modeling, painting skills and so on. Some children show some awareness and understanding on the characteristics of the art. Children's aesthetic preferences are a certainly dynamic.
