In Chinese, the passive sentence with the Chinese character "被" (referred to as CPS here after )is a kind of specific sentence with predicate verbs,it is an important part in Chinese syntax, and also a difficult part in teaching Chinese for the foreigners. This thesis will ,viewed from the Chinese language compare the CPS with its Japanese translation , do the research about them, find out their differences and similarities, and analyze their reasons.Chinese is isolated language while Japanese is agglutinative language. They have different grammatic systems, and each has its own characteristics. In Chinese CPS is a kind of passive sentences,in Japanese there are also passive sentences with similar structure(verb+re ru/ra re ru).But when the CPS is translated into Japanese,it may not remain the same in Japanese completely. The sentence structure and order will have some changes, even some CPS will be translated into Japanese active sentence. This thesis uses constituent analysis to find out their differences and similarities, and analyzes the reasons by analyzing and classifying a large quantity of CPS and its Japanese translations. For example, the systems of both languages differ in lexicology, some transitive verbs in Japanese contain the resultative complement in Chinese. This is the reason why the complement in CPS becomes part of the predicate verb in the Japanese versions. As both Chinese and Japanese have different ways to express their grammar,Chinese is different from Japanese in expressing CPS with the preposition "被" followed by the agent is the negative. As Chinese and Japanese differ in the grammatical functions of verbs and adjectives, conversions occur in translation. Since both languages differ in cultural psychology, some CPS is translated into Japanese active sentences.
