The paper makes a complete statistics of 2905 current Chinese characters on teaching Chinese as a foreign language, analyzing subjectively and objectively the reasons of forming and misrecognizing similar Chinese characters, inducing the characteristics of characters similar in form and their types, concludes 240 groups 500 current Chinese characters similar in form on L2 teaching. According to different configurations of the current Chinese characters similar in form, basic teaching rules and different recognization ways are applied to L2 teaching. It is very important for teaching Chinese as a foreign language to strengthen the research about recognization of the current Chinese characters similar in form.
