On The Narrative Art Of Chinese Animation Movies

China once had a number of classical animation movies which had a reputation of 'Chinese School' in the world. However, the animation movies in china didn't develop smoothly from the 90's because of several of reasons. In view of it, this paper studies and analyses the animation movies in china from the aspects of narrative art, and find the characters and shortages of Chinese animation movies by comparing Japanese animation movies and American's. Further cultural expatiation is attempting to find the cultural and aesthetic origin from the different phenomenon of the narrative art in different movies and different countries. Hope the paper can offer some ideas for the creation and development of Chinese animation movies.The paper consists of three parts. Chapter I is about the tactics of narrative art in Chinese animation movies. It begins from the content elements, including the subject of myth, the flat character and the procedural plots. Chapter II researches into the narrative style of Chinese animation movies from the modality elements of narrative art, including art modeling and movie language. Chapter III concerns about the space and the time of narrative art in Chinese animation movies.
