Study On 《Mo Chi Suo Lu Of Yang Shen's Calligraphy》

Muo chi suo lu is an important calligraphy document on wholly discussing calligraphy by Yang Shen of Ming Dynasty in which Yang Shen put most new formulations that hadn't been discussed before.It has great value of both calligraphy history and theory on also plays an important role in both history and calligraphy theory history.In his book,not only the book Cao Shu Jun Hui from zhang Tianxi is concerned but also those books from Wang Xiao such as Han Si Li Yang Jue Bei.But it is a pity that the book has not got much attention since a long time ago.Maybe it is because the author's fame in literature.The thesis is trying to fill in the gaps of this study sphere.The author gives systematical research about Muo chi suo lu about its position in the history thoroughly in 5 aspects.First,outline of the book and introduction of the Yang Shen.The author makes textual researchers and states about the birth and death years,the last name,styled name,the literary name and the hometown of Yang Shen,as well as his family's social standing,his living experiences and his friends etc.Then,the author gives a wholly introduction about the style,the content and the edition of Muo chi suo lu through documentary scientific method.Second,is the collation book.From both its edition and content.At first,the edition from Si Ku Quan Shu,Han Hai,Shuo Fu du and those from Jia Qing scripture, Qing Sheng Shi Bai Shi Shan Fang scripture are chosen for comparison and contrast. Then,the author tries to find those errors in the book when quotation is made,and research and amendment are done,making contribution for further research afterwards.The third chapter is research of the author's idea of revivalision.Such research is coupled with Muo chi suo lu,showing the trails of calligraphy of Jin Dynasty.Here, the Yang Shen show its contempt to such famous figures as Yang Shen Qing and Liu Gong Ming,while show due respect to Zhao Meng Yao.The paper not only do some research of charge the book by its author,but also search for the origin of this idea. Through comment and comparison of calligraphy of Yang Shen Qing and Zhao Meng Yao we can find the reason why Yang tended to do so.His theory is important not only in that period but also deeply influences modern calligraphy. The forth paragraph is about the critical category of Muo chi suo lu.From si wu ni yu and si ren ni yu to give a clear picture about its use.Similar to other arts, calligraphy is some social vision is one's mind.Si wu ni yu mainly tries to specify the vision,to show both the static and dynamic beauty.While si ren ni yu is something mainly concerned with women's body.The five chapter is about it's achievement,and the reason why it's not so famous. Since it's not easy to find the work from Yang Shen,the author gave out pictures of it's work and Yang Shen Xue Lu from Wang Wen Cai.In the last part of the paper,the academic achievement is analyzed from historical status and limitations aspects,In order to attract wide attention.The book's historical importance can not be neglected till now.Since some points are from Yang Shen's personal perspective,and the limitation of time,deficiency is inevitable.This paper aims to show and avoid the limitations,giving objective assessment.From the research of Muo chi suo lu,we can obviously got the idea that Yang Shen and his book held high position in the history.It is worth paying more attention and do all-round research.
