A Study On The Fundamental Situation And Influential Factors Of The College Students' Mainstream Values

During the transition of the society,the transformation of the economic mechanism must cause the profound transformation of the society's politics,culture ere,which shows the conflict and updating of the values as concerning the college students' ideology.The college students are the continuing driving force,whose values will influence the development trend of China's society future.Which values do the contemporary college students have? What are the factors influencing the college students' values? These are the problems we need grasp and pay.close attention to in time.The existing research on the values of college students mainly focuses on theoretical research, whereas demonstration research is rare.The existing demonstration research mostly emphasizes the description of a concrete certain of character(such as a dimension on grade or sex),which lack relevant research and integrated research.On the basis of literature and through interviews,questionnaire research methods and the statistical methodology of project analysis,factor analysis,this study designed the questionnaire of the current situation in college students' mainstream value and the questionnaire of the influential factor of college students' mainstream value with high reliability and validity;and summarize the influential factors of college students through literature analysis,interviews,open-ended questionnaire and the ease study method,then analyse the current situation of college students using self-designed measurement tool.Finally using relevant research,regression analysis and structural equation modeling techniques,this study investigated systematically the main factor influencing the values of college students'.Based on each research,the main conclusions are as follows:(1) Self-designed scale of college students' mainstream values and those of influential factors is qualified by fine reliability and validity,and it is in line with the requirements of psychological measurement and can be as tools to measure college students' mainstream values.(2) In general,college students' mainstream values are medium and on the high side,a state of definite and positive.Looking from each dimension of college students' mainstream values,it's development is uneven,and there is significant difference.Among them.altruism of the highest level, the material enjoyment of the lowest levels.(3) There is significant difference in terms of altruism,material enjoyment,positive self and mind-set of action in the view of sex;In the grade,there is significant difference in terms of altruism. positive self and mind-set of action;In the dimension of altruism and mind-set of action,there is significant difference in arts,science and engineering course.(4) On the whole,there is significant difference in the style of university,particularly:In the dimension of altruism,mind-set of action,junior college students' values are much clearer and more positive than those of students from undergraduate college and key university;In the dimension of altruism and material enjoyment,there is significant difference in family ghetto;There is no significant difference in the aspects of class cadre,intact family.(5) The influential factor of college students' values is a single-order structure of the six factors,namely interpersonal environment,ways of parental upbringing,life experience,custom and habit,traditional ideas,campus atmosphere.(6) Among the six influential factors,interpersonal environment,ways of parental upbringing, custom and habit,traditional ideas,campus atmosphere have direct impact on college students' mainstream values,traditional ideas of the highest level,custom and habit of the lowest level.The influence in descending order ranks as:traditional ideas,ways of parental upbringing,interpersonal environment,campus atmosphere,custom and habit.Via campus atmosphere,Life experience plays a negative and indirect role on college students' mainstream values.
