In 1684,Taiwan was ruled under the Qing Dynasty.Emperor Kang Xi gave permission for the unmarried ones to migrate to Taiwan and throughout the years of the Emperors Yong Zheng and Tong Zhi.The government had lessened the requirements for migration,to attract more mainland citizens to migrate to Taiwan to bring the land under cultivation. This had led to an increase in the Taiwan population. They made their livings by farming, hunting, etc.thus they had a low level of education. Although schools at that time were starting to rise and develop, they were not popular in all areas. Therefore,I investigated into the migration of the Chinese to Taiwan, the composition of its population, political affairs and the society. In addition,I also explored the Taiwanese government officers in the Qing Dynasty, the purpose and development of social education. They can educate the people through social education such as sheng zhi, awards and recognition from the emperor, etc. These kinds of social education not only stimulate the morale of people, but also convenient to manage them and reduce the occurrence of wars.
