In the new era,with the development of modern social and economic life,the commercial name is increasingly becoming one of the most important research items.In the research,we should focus on and base on social linguistics to carry out thorough discussions and draw conclusions.More importantly,we ought to use the study results to direct theoretically practical activities concerning commercial naming so that the Chinese traditional numeral culture can serve better the modern numeral naming and business activities and further promote their development and prosperity.From the perspective of social linguistics,the paper makes an in-depth language study and research on the number in commercial names and has a thorough analysis on the history,culture,and origin of numeral naming practice,as well as the language expressions,voice, semantic,and structural features.And then it explores the clever use of the long history and tradition of the Chinese number culture by nowadays entrepreneurs to explain the concept of corporate culture,and sums up linguistic channels and people's internal psychological motivation to apply the numeral culture.The paper is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the introduction which introduces the significance of commercial naming,the research situation of numerals in commercial naming,and the method and meaning of the research item. The second chapter is the survey on the numeral name,which sums up its historical and cultural basis,its practical origin and describes its way of expression and distribution in numeral names.The third chapter mainly analyzed the language feature of the numeral name from its voice,semantics and structure.The fourth chapter is focused on the application of the surface meaning and cultural meaning of the numeral name.Besides,it compares and analyzes several cases of Chinese classical business names and modern brands.Finally,the last part is the conclusion.
