Research On Conditions Of The Inner Mongolia People's Police's Of Mental Health And Its Relationship With Self-Efficacy

To investigate the state of the mental health of the People's Police and relationship with self-efficacy, and to find the relevant rules and characteristics, Providing references for mental health edueation and Psyehologieal training in the People's Police, this research conducts a survey in the five hundred people's policeman and utilizes SymPtom Check List90(SCL-90), the General Self-Efficacy Seale(GSES) to analysis of the results. The results show as following:(1)Their general state of the mental health factor scores are higher to those of civilian's norm ,and show highly significant differences, from which we can make a conclusion that the general state of the mental health of the People's Police in the inner Mongolia is Relatively poor.(2)Hostility, bigotry , interpersonal sensitivity ,obsessive compulsion and depressionare the main factors influencing their status of mental health. (3)The differences in sex and the type of police also have influence on their conditions of mental health .(4)The state of mental health in the group of high self-efficacy is much better than that in low-self-efficacy group.(5)The relation between self-efficacy of police and SCL-90 Symptoms index is with the level of -0.154, the self-efficacy of police and SCL-90 factors and Symptoms index exists negative correlation. It can be concluded that self-efficacy is an important factor which influences to the level of mental health.It is suggested that while responses to the mental health of the police are condueted,much special attention should be payed on a number of issues, such as hostility, bigotry , interpersonal sensitivity, obsessive compulsion and depression. By different means enhance their self-efficacy and improve their condition of mental health. In carrying out mental health knowledge, the common sense about hostility, bigotry , interpersonal sensitivity, obsessive compulsion and depression should be prominently introduced, including their mance characteristics, preventive measures and so on, so that the majority of the police have a clear Awareness of the occurrence of adverse psychology, and improve their mental adaptability.
