In Chinese history, Traditional Opera is always an important way of entertainment. Even today, the Chinese people still enjoy themselves by seeing Traditional Opera. In the 21st century, with the development of mass media, the communication of Traditional Opera has also changed a lot. And a lot of special phenomena appear during the process of integration with media, including the abused entertainment in Traditional Opera communication. Because of the difference in social roles, it causes controversies among opera professionals, fans and common audience, which are either for or againstFrom the prior research fruits, some scholars have paid attention to these changes in the communication of Traditional Opera, especially the diversified patterns. But few have discussed the phenomenon of abused entertainment in Traditional Opera communication nowadays. Therefore, based on the theories of Drama and Traditional Opera and Communication, this paper gives preliminary analysis on the issue, with the research methods of case study, document research and induction. In Part I, it shows some patterns of this phenomenon; in Part II through induction and collation of phenomena, this paper explains its connotation and finds common rules in it. Then, in Part III, it explores the causes of this phenomenon by the above generalization, and discusses its advantageous and the disadvantageous affects in Part VI. It tries to give some the reasonable suggestions to solve the problem in Part V. At last, in the conclusion, this paper calls for good dramas and operas which can satisfy both refined and popular tastes, to show the true style of Chinese cultural essences and keep its sustainable development.This paper aims to offer some thoughts on producing good operas in the new media environment, through inducing and summarizing the abused entertainment in opera communication and revealing its influences.
