Subject-predicate subject sentences are very common phenomenon in modern Chinese, but so far nobody has ever been studying their structural characteristics. Applied to elemental analytic method and based on cognitive frame, this thesis wholly analyses this sentence pattern via boundedness and unboundedness theory. The process of this article is from elements to integrity , namely, firstly investigate sentences'subjects, then predicates and at last the whole sentence. Corresponding with the process, it firstly clarifies several common concept that are relevant to my study: subject and topic, sentence and phrase. We cannot really interpret and understand subject-predicate subject sentences until the targets and ranges on subject and sentence are determined. At the beginning this article classifies several basic patterns of subject-predicate structure from which finds out the two patterns that can usually become main subjective components of suvject-predicate subject sentences, and then induces the features of the two patterns , finally generalizes the structural laws on subject-predicate subject sentences: the subject-predicate structure that can be main subjective of a subject-predicate subject sentence is the phrases that cannot independently construct a sentence, presenting a concept without inherent termination points, endowed with unboundedness features. The procedures on analysing main predicates of subject-predicate subject sentences are as fellows: to classify the main predicate according to corpora, then to investigate predicate in categories where verb-predicate endowed with weak proceeding, incomplete start and terminate points are focused on in addition to nominal predicate and adjectival predicate. The study turns out to be the fact that unboundedness characterisics are occurred in main predicates without exception. The last analytic precedure is to reasonably account for why the main predicates are needed to be boundized for true statement sentence structures'consideration. Thus as for a comprising unit in a subject-predicate subject sentence, the subject-predicate phrase must be unboundedness, and meanwhile as for a true statement sentence, the subject-predicate subject sentence presents a concept with an inherent terminate poin that must be bounded. The theory on boundedness and unboundedness can be applied to the sentence patterns with homographic patterns. To identify subject-predicate subject sentences from the other sentence patterns is the further understanding and pratical application on this cognitive theory.
