The Research About Banditry Of WuQing Town From Ming To Qing Dynasties

Wuqing town lies in the HangJiaHu Plain,through the ages of development,till the Ming dynasty.Wuqing towm had been one of the major towns of senior handicraft in China.Since the Spring and Autumn period,the town of Wuqing had always been part of different Prefectures and countries.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Wu town belonged to the Wuchen country(lied in HuZhou prefecture)and Qing town belonged to the Tongxiang County(lied in Jiaxing prefecture).The more Complex is that this town not only at the junction of the two provinces but aslo at the boundaries of the three prefectures and six counties.In 1725 Zhenze country was seperated fome Wujiang coutry,the situation of Wuqing towm was more complicated.Although the Wuqing town has developed rapidly at the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it also faced serious security problems.Besides the Japanese pirates,native banditry were also harm to the peaceful life.To improve this situation,all levels of the society had taken a series of measures in order to strengthen the domination.In this paper,through analyse the problem of banditry and the solutions.We foud that the goverment in Ming and Qing dynasties shown great enthusiasm at the management.The Particularly point was that except took the conventional measmres in controling the society,Ming Dynasty aslo set a government office called"BuDaoTongPan",then set a special government office called"BuDaoTongZhiGuan",the government moved the "Hubutongzhi" here in Qing Dynasty.That is,at the Town set up a government office equival to which was set in the Prefecture.The "Tongzhiguan" had the power to control three Prefecturs and six coutries.All these were amied to "Inspection Salt and Pursuit of bandits".But this system only alleviated the local security situation to some extent.It can not fundamentally resolve the problems.Because there were a lot of vulanerable spots in actual management.Such as long diatance from the Prefecture government and county government,soil boundaries mistake,and this system exist a lot of problems at the beginning of this setting.Officials must be the leading force in response to banditry.In addition,there were also various active roles in actualsituation,Such as officials,gentlemen,normal people and so on.The relationship between them was very delicate.Both showed the relationship of collaboration and conflict.
