Abstract/Summary:
Self-worth is a multi-dimensional and multi-level psychological structure,which could reflect how people like and view themselves and how people are regarded by others indirectly. The subjects were undergraduates in most self-confidence research in China, but we will choose internet game addicts in this article. Some people think that addicts often playing internet game,so they have more aggressive behavior. Then, To study self-worth is rather valueable both theoretically and practically.This study investigated 182 undergraduates of internet game addicts and 157 non-addicts with the scale of self-worth and Aggression Questionnaire,and aimed to explore self-worth,aggressive behavior of internet game addicts and interaction between the self- worth and aggressive behavior.The study results indicated that:(1) The TSE,GSS,SI1,SI2,SS1 and SS4 of the addicts are significantly lower than those of the non-addicts;the TSE,GSS,GIS,SI4,SI5andSS2 of the addicts with high scores are significantly lower than those of non-addicts with low scores.(2)There exists a significant sex and grade difference in the self- worth of the addiction.The GIS,SI2,SS1 and SS3 of male are significantly higher than those of the female. There exists a grade difference in the TSE,GIS,SI4 and SS2.(3) There exists a significant difference in the aggressive behavior .The T,A and H of the addicts are significantly higher than those of the non-addicts. And there is no significant sex and grade difference in the aggressive behavior of the addicts.(4) There exists a significant difference in the aggressive behavior between the addiction with high self- worth and low self- worth.The VA,A and H of the lower self-worth are significantly higher than the higher self-worth.(5) There is negative correlation between the self-worth and aggressive behavior.
