Conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li is the important event in the middle and later Tang Dynasty.The study of conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li is valuable to the study of the middle and later Tang Dynasty.Li Deyu is the center in conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li,so we can understand one aspect of conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li more deeply and specifically by the study of Li Deyu.This paper rethinks the real nature of the Partys of Li and Niu on the basis of the summarized information of conflicts to analyze the passiveness and choice of Li Deyu and reveals the relation of Li Deyu's political fortunes and imperial power.This paper ranges over six dynasties,which from Xianzong period to Xuanzong period.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is mainly the situation of conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li and Li Deyu,on which we propose the basic ways of this paper.The second part mainly rethinks the real nature of the Partys of Li and Niu and indicates the difference of the real nature of the Party of Li and the Party of Niu.The Party of Niu is the interest group by Chinese Imperial examinations.But the Party of Li united to fight against the Party of Niu by Li Deyu,isn't for interest.The key of the difference between the Partys of Li and Niu,is that Li Deyu and the other members of the Party of Li have no intention of conflicts and Li Deyu himself consciously draws the line with the Party of Niu,retaining a certain principle for country.The third part mainly discourses the relation of Li Deyu's political fortunes and imperial power.Li Deyu's official career goes up and down,which is hit by conflicts on the surface,whereas,is hit by imperial power in fact.This chapter mainly indicates imperial power controls the political fortunes of Li Deyu firmly from his up-and-down political fortunes in Wenzong,Wuzong and Xuanzong period.The Fourth part is the obiterdictum,which mainly traces the term of the past of "conflicts between the two political Parties of Niu and Li".
