Study On The Sichuan Refugee During The Sino-Japanese War

The refugee is an important topic in the field of Chinese Modern History study during the Sino-Japanese War. Drafted by using relevant documents and files, this paper mainly focuses on analyses on Sichuan refugees, relief agencies, relief policies, relief measures and its effects systematically and deeply during the War, on the purpose of revealing its developmental law and characteristic in order to promote the development of studying Anti-Japanese War History in depth.The paper is divided into four parts, about 50,000 words. Part one mainly gives a brief overview of the a basic situation of refugees in Sichuan province during Anti-Japanese War, including the causes of refugees, the number, country of origin; part two cites the institutions established for refugees in Sichuan by National Government and the Sichuan Provincial Government and communities during the War , as well as their relief policies; part three discusses the measures taken for the relief of refugees in Sichuan during the Anti-Japanese War in details, as well as its achievements; part four, focusing on the key points, gives a little more systematic evaluation in-depth of the overall effects of the relief of refugees during the War, and pointed out the deficiencies in the relief process. Through the comments of the four parts above, this article not only fully affirmed the positive effects of"stabilizing the rear, supporting the front-line"through the implement policies and refugee relief measures in Sichuan by National Government, the Sichuan Provincial Government and all sectors of society during Anti-Japanese War, but also pointed out the deficiencies in the relief Sichuan refugees caused by all kinds of reasons because of the war.By arranging and utilizing archives relatively on the refugee relief of Sichuan during Anti-Japanese War in Chengdu City Archives as well as other document data, this article makes monographic study on the refugee relief in Sichuan in the Anti-Japanese War period, extending the research field and scope of the Sichuan History of the Anti-Japanese War, and lay a certain amount basis for further research history of the Anti-Japanese War in Sichuan and domestic economic issues of refugees.
