From the theory of documentary film or the creation of documentary,"Odyssey Of The Great Wall"is a milestone in the history of television documentary of china, it was brought some fresh air for Chinese documentary, access to a new language and style, and cleaned up the relatively poor at the time, boring atmosphere. It can be said that"Odyssey Of The Great Wall"has brought a significant impact to Chinese documentary. In addition to leading the shift of Chinese documentary film and other unpopular, it is more important to activate the documentary creators of thinking and re-ignite their passion. However, because of the documentary and their own awareness and understanding of some of the errors, deviations, which makes very difficult to break through the creative documentaries. Particularly as the center of the documentary television program broadcast of the status quo: a relatively long production cycles, more expensive, relatively slow-paced, rapid decline in the ratings etc., which are the survival of Chinese documentary increasingly grim situation.Over the last decade of this century, Chinese documentary begin to enter the market-oriented transition and gradually move into the commercial operation of the road. Today, in the era of mass media to the small minority of progressive, forward the process of specialization, the market value of the documentary has become the industry's concern and research focus and the contents of a documentary on China's innovation and market-oriented research has been to explore a common practice. I combine relevant theoretical knowledge, as well as related social practices and research what I have learned during the period of pursuing my master's degree. I used the method of integrating theory with practice, will be marketing, market economics, theoretical knowledge, such as communications and the current status of Chinese documentary marketing experience and practice, and study and research focused on the Chinese part of marketing a documentary. Finally, I have proposed specific measures and strategies in order to strengthen the important role of Marketing in the market-oriented development Chinese documentary films.
