Since the end of the 20th century, China's increasing emphasis on the general music education in institutions of higher learning in the overall role of culture. In addition to a number of institutions active in music activities, music also offers elective courses in public. The courses are provided for the students a more comprehensive opportunity to learn music. However, course content and form, college students can not meet the urgent needs of arts education.Jiangxi Province, there are 66 general universities, colleges and universities have opened most of the music curriculum, but the general institutions of higher learning in Jiangxi Province music curriculum study also yet to be seen. I work to choose their own location - Jiangxi Province, the general institutions of higher learning music curriculum for the study through the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, East China Jiaotong University, Nanchang University, Jiangxi Normal University, representative of all four institutions of higher learning (Financial, the Hong Kong Polytechnic category, Miscellaneous, Normal) Public music education curriculum survey and analysis, to infer the general institutions of higher learning in Jiangxi Province in public music education of the general situation of the curriculum.The full text is divided into six chapters: Chapter I, Citation explore some of the major music education in colleges and universities of the importance of arts education, to Western aesthetic education theory-based, combined with China's Confucian ideology of aesthetic music education importance of education to make statement, on the second half of the 20th century Western educational thought of our music education college impact; chapter briefly described the history of music education in Jiangxi Province and the status quo; Chapter III, using survey methods, the four different types of institutions of higher music education curriculum in public the status of the investigation and analysis; Chapter IV, the general institutions of higher learning in Jiangxi Province in public music education curriculum, teaching, etc. Thoughts and responses; Chapter V Conclusion, Summed up to a whole and look forward to Jiangxi Province, the prospects of music education in institutions of higher learning.
