| Yuan Zhen was a famous poet in the mid term of the Tang dynasty. He and Bai Juyi were always named as"Yuan Bai".Yuan Zhen was a man of many gifts in literature. He made a great achievement in his poetry, prose and legend, but the less study was done on Yuan Zhen than that of Bai Juyi.The study of Yuan Zhen's poem often concentrates in his new or old Yue-fu-shi, Ge-xing, Dao-wang-shi, Jueju ,but few people study on his Wu-yan-gu-shi .The object of the paper isYuan Zhen's Wu-yan-gu-shi, the paper try to explore his Wu-yan-gu-shi'origins, the style and the originality.The paper is divided into four parts, the first part studies Yuan Zhen's poetry thoughts and the process of writing Wu-yan-gu-shi, and analyzes his poetry thoughts similarities to and differences from Bai Juyi's, as well as the influences of Chen Ziang and Du Fu on his poetry creation. The second part studies the relations of Yuan Zhen's Wu-gu and Han-wei-jin-song writers'wu-gu , mainly from the succession and innovation concerning the two techniques: expression of ideal through objects and the provocation of inspiration. Third part will have a research on the relations between Yuan Zhen Wu-gu and High-Tang wu-gu, mainly from the "Qi-Chang" and two forming reasons of the "Qi-chang": Diao-chun and narration in details, and analyzes its similarities and differences of the High-Tang Wu-gu and Yuan Zhen's Wu-gu.
