Study On Theory And Value Of 《Book Of Songs》

With the fast development of economy, especially at the present time when everything is valued by material economy, ecological destruction and environmental pollution issues have become increasingly serious, which results in the tensional relationship between human beings and the nature. Meanwhile, affected by material economy, the relationship and practices between people has changed a lot. People become indifferent to each other and contradiction appears between people and society. Obviously, to solve these problems, it is not enough to appeal to the means like law, economy and technology only. According to author's point of view, it is undoubtedly helpful to solve the issues if we strengthen people's consciousness of environmental protection and build up healthy and harmonious interpersonal relationship.As the master piece of Confucianism,《The Book of Songs》has not only influenced the formation of Confucianism, but also contains rich ecological theory itself. By studying 305 poems of this book, classifying related materials and starting from the settings《The Book of Songs》took form, this paper mainly probes into the ecological thoughts in this book, such as simple ecological view of nature, ecological holistic view of balanced beauty andinterpersonal harmony values, of people living in Zhou Dynasty, to help contemporaries absorb the essence of this book and build up healthy and harmonious relationship between human and nature, human and society and people themselves. Besides, the paper also expounded the impact ecological theory of《The Book of Songs》brought on that of Confucianism and contemporary value of establishing a harmonious and environmentally friendly society within this great works.
