A decade has passed since Wang Xiaobo passed away in 1997.Yet people have not forgotten him,also created a wonderful "Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo".Too much social cultural imaginations were concentrated on Wang's "Text"and "Status", which made Wang Xiaobo be more than a writer.Attached to a variety of titles, Wang Xiaobo has become a blazing social cultural symbol.Contrast to Wang's loneliness and silence before death,this phenomenon has been a noisy"Myth", actually is a "Myth" from Desire Signifer.The Desire here is one kind of unconscious desire,the outcome from signifier, with language-like structure,and can be analysed with a structuralism method. Jacques Lacan's Desire Theory connected Desire with physical impulse drive concept within the psychoanalysis basic concepts.So writer believes it can be regarded as a new distinctive perspective,applying Lacan's Desire Theory to analyse the socio-cultural psychology of " Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo ".Desire is the initiator of Myth.Lacan displayed unique understanding and explaining,which let us possibly do structural analysis on socio-cultural psychology of " Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo "and other similar cultural phenomena.As following are the sketch of all parts for your reference:First of all is an Introduction:In accordance with the context of the time,describes the progress of 10-year " Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo ".To Wang's readers,it is a good collective memories.To those who are not familiar to Wang Xiaobo,they can at least have a general understanding about this phenomenon.Above all,this chapter is a basic work for the following analysis.The 1st chapter is about ten-year "myth"-"Wang Xiaobo long lives":According to Wang's "Status"and Wang's "Text",the outline of people's cultural imagination and self-imagination is drawn.Wang Xiaobo is more than a writer,also is a popular cultural symbol.Titles for each section separately are:Imagination from Wang's "Text" and Imagination from Wang's "Status".The 2nd chapter is about Desire initiating "Myth":Why is it necessary to do structural analysis on social cultural psychology? Why is Lacan's Desire Theory that we apply to do analysis? All answers are here.Then is analysis coming.Two overview phrases were used as the titles for each section:Desire "Lack" and Desire as "Others" desire,which Lacan ever did to interpret his desire dialectics. The 3rd chapter is about "Myth" of Rhetoric:Based on the rhetoric's "Metaphor" and "Metonymy",can Desire be presented.Then come to analyse:how does "Myth" launch and continue? how dose desire present? This chapter is to start from the rhetorical level,present mechanism,so is the section entitled:Metaphor for the "Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo"and Metonymy for "Phenomenon of Wang Xiaobo".The 4th chapter is about new value construction:The Desire owner's various expressions of words can not cover up their purpose to emerge into the mainstream of the society and build up new values.They are the new-emerging social stratum. Twosections are entitled with:the subversive strategy of the" Silence Generation " and the constructive rhetoric of " Silence Generation "."Silence" here means the new-emerging stratum have very self-knowledge about their marginalized status, which they eagerly want to overturn.Finally is the Conclusion:The analysis for social desire psychology structure unfolds the symbolic infinite strength for us,which can stimulate any person's any desire.Even though "it is useless intense emotion for human being"(Jean-Paul Sartre's words),or "Desire 'Lack'" as Lacan said.Even if only as Nietzsche said: "look forward to nothing"is more positive than "no will".This is the push-power for our individual and social development,which may be known as the "solemn and stirring resistance",it is meaningful anyway,we should not ignore.In accordance with Lacan's theory,it seems there is a tragic illusion fate for us all. For Lacan,the general desire actually did not the real desire.He called it merely a substitution for the real desire,which was named object @.Idolatry,physical fetishism and commodity fetishism fill up our originally purified living space than ever.We see from the mirror and are assimilised by our own projection.Lacan believed that the small object @ was rich,but deficient also,we are more and more distant from the metaphysical;we are submerged by anxiety of gain and loss.Wang "Status" and 'Text" are the small object@ to his readers.What they really desire is like - the capital other- mother.They are never and ever satisfied with any substitution,instead always keeping projection outward to make up for the original lack.As Nietzsche said,People need a goal;people would rather look forward to nothing,can not have"no will".Although this is yet another tragic and heroic fighting,we can not ignore the new-emerging stratum's attempt to promote social progress.
