Verbs are a vital component in Chinese sentences. While the understanding of the verbs will directly influence the understanding and employment of the whole sentence, synonymous verbs always remain the crucial but difficult part for students from abroad to study Chinese. This paper collects the data on the applications of the Chinese synonymous verbs by some Vietnamese students who are at the intermediate level of Chinese, analyzes their wrong and inappropriate applications of those verbs, categorizes the types of those misusing and the reasons and summarizes its usual performance.This paper consists of four parts: chapter one is introductory part, mainly introducing the research content, purpose, method, and significance, and simply summarizing some related studies at home. Chapter two categorizes the types of misusing Chinese synonymous verbs by the chosen students. Chapter three summarizes the underlying reasons of those misusing and its usual performance in terms of mother tongue, target language, study method and teaching. And chapter four, based on the previous analysis, suggests several factors and methods to distinguish between those synonymous verbs easy to be confused, in hope of helping teaching.
