It is generally believed in Chinese international education circles that there are many similarities between Vietnamese and Chinese and these similarities may make Vietnamese students show unique advantages in learning Chinese.However,in the specific process of teaching Chinese,it is found that there are still many problems met by Vietnamese students having intermediate Chinese proficiency in all respects about having a grasp of Chinese text,especially in the use of textual cohesion words in writing.However,so far,the academic research on Vietnamese students' Chinese textual acquisition is rare.In view of this,this paper mainly analyzes the grasp of Chinese textual logic cohesion words by the Vietnamese students mastering intermediate Chinese.In analysis,it is found that the omission and misuse of these words are the two main types of erra made by these students,especially the confused use of the words used to express coordinate relationship,causality and progressive relationship.In light of the errors mentioned above,this paper mainly analyzes the causes of them through analyzing the similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnames and analyzing the errors made by editors and found from Chinese textbooks.The study shows that Vietnamese students with intermediate Chinese proficiency are greatly affected by the negative transfer of their mother tongue.Through the observation of typical example sentence errors,the author of this paper finds that there is often a higher error rate of using textual cohesion words with similar functions between Chinese and Vietnamese.However,some of these words have not been collected in Chinese textbooks,and some collected in these books should be explained in a better way with respect to many grammar rules.On the basis of the analysis above,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the way to teach the Vietnamese students having intermediate Chinese proficiency to use cohesion words for expressing the logic relation of textual cohesion.For example,textual cohesion words should be taught as an importang part of Chinese teaching and used as a context for filling in the blanks with notional words and clauses with an emphasis on the difference between the meaning and function of these cohesion words in text organziation.
