Milan Kundera holds that the duty for novelist is to explore the being so as not to forget it. Novelists should explore the essence of being through an imaginary and experimental individual. Therefore the themes of Kundera's works are often closely related with human's being. Oblivion is a core word, and it is connected with other themes, making all novels the variation of"Oblivion", and the narration field of Oblivion and Memory together.Trilogy of Oblivion, which consists"Slowness","Identity","Ignorance", contacts the essence of things directly, and tends to describe the condition of human being concretely and explore the scope of human existence . Based on analysis of the texts of the three novels, this essay attempts to explore Milan Kundera'reflections over existence, and how he inherits the tradition in the novel creation, how he develops his own style, then continues to construct the the third stage of novel history as an world-wide writer.
