| The mood adverb, one kind of the adverbs, which is more complex and has more problems in the Modern Chinese, has not been studied deeply. In this paper, the writer selects one of these kinds—the anti-sense mood adverb to study.First, the writer divides the anti-sense mood adverb into four kinds according to the strength in mood and similarity in semantics ,that is: "Fanzheng"type ,"Haodai"type, "Sihuo"type and"Zaowan"type. And then uses the Three-plane Theory, the combining method of the quantitative analysis and the qualitative analysis, description and interpretation, to study the characteristics of these four kinds in syntactic distribution, grammatic meaning and pragmatic function.First,in the syntactic distribution, these four kinds show many differences. In the first place, the "Fanzheng"type mostly comes before the subject, while the "Sihuo"type is after it. At the same time, the "Haodai"type and"Zaowan"type are always after the subject .In the second place, the mood adverb of the "Sihuo"type and the "Zao wan"type usually come together with the modal verbs, while due to the selection in semantics,it's not often the case that the "Fanzheng"type and "Haodai"type come together with modal verbs.Second,in semantics, these four kinds do not have the same meanings. Not only there are great differences between them, but also little differences between the mood adverbs in each group. In the strength of the expressive tone, the "Fanzheng"type and "Sihuo" type are stronger than the "Haodai"type and the "Zaowan"type.Third,in the collocation with other kinds of words, they all can be used with the "Shi"and"Dou".The"Sihuo"type also can collocate with"Ke,Danshi, Keshi,Dan,Que".Fourth,in progmatic fanctions, these four kinds have promiment focus and make the language have subjective features, while there are differences text cohesion. |
