The agricultural production was the most important material production since the ancient times in our country, and has a long history with the inheritance and innovation of the agricultural production folk-custom; There are massive materials that reflect the agricultural production custom of Tang and Five Dynasties and Earily Song Dynasties in Dunhuang, which is valuable for researching the Dunhuang area and even the formation and evolution of agricultural production in the ancient northwest area. Through further collecting the concerned folk custom material of agricultural production, I found that the agricultural production folk custom content is extremely widespread, and the manifestations to be also richly colorful in this time.The folk custom manifestation of Duanhuag agricultural production mainly has the following several kinds: First, the habitude and the concerned sacrifice custom forming based on agricultural production arranged by seasons; Second, the agriculture custom exists with a great deal of divination and forecast; Third, the taboo custom concerned agricultural production. Fourth, the custom related the sacrifice of agriculture gods; Fifth, after harvest, thanks the world God for blessing and so on.In order to keep the agricultural production going on well, the government and the populace positively participated in the sacrifice that concerned the agriculture production. The main sacrificing activities included all kinds of seasonal agricultural production, the gods of agricultural production, and nature worshiping. All of the sacrificing beliefs penetrate the whole production process, which has a comprehensive system..In that period, the flourishing of agricultural production custom in Duanhuang, was the populace's positive reflection of nature, and presented the importance of agriculture and the deep independence of the nature environment. Meanwhile, agriculture production folk custom reflected by the religious culture, such asConfucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and so on. And it has the flowing features: inheritance, variability, sociality and diversity, which reflect the strong political overtones, religious and local color.
