Lu Xun's Discourses In The Kuomintang-occupied Areas During The Anti-Japanese War

Lu Xun's death in 1936 made him unable to personally participate in the national war against Japan, but the richness and contradiction of his ideology makes him an important Chinese cultural discourse resource. Lu Xun's discourses do not respond to itself, but the historical and cultural context in the Kuomintang-occupied areas in the Anti-Japanese War. The investigation of Lu Xun's discourses in these areas outlines the evolution of Lu Xun's discourses in this cultural landscape, and acquires the overall understanding of Lu Xun's discourses in the evolution, which gives expression to the complete characteristics of the Chinese modern-contemporary ideology and culture, and provides the new research platform for reference in the current research on Lu Xun.This paper is divided into three sections.Chapterâ… , "the Meaning construction of Lu Xun's discourses." By the method of combing through data from the context of the fighting spirit in the Anti-Japanese War, from the literary realism and the memories of mourning images and symbols in three broad areas, this chapter summarizes the basic connotation of Lu Xun's discourses in the Kuomintang-occupied areas in the Anti-Japanese War, and highlights the focus of Lu Xun's discourses.Chapterâ…¡, "the Characteristics of Lu Xun's discourses." As Lu Xun was placed in the acceptance of network, which was made up of the people in the Kuomintang's government and military, intellectuals and ordinary readers in the Kuomintang-occupied areas as multiple relationships, his discourses showed different speech features from the ones in the liberated areas and the Japanese occupation. Ideological disputes under the public opinion not only make Lu Xun become the focus of speech, but also make his discourses have a clear political overtones. The logical expression with fiction and deification builds up a new type of discourse system between Lu Xun itself and Lu Xun's discourses in the Kuomintang-occupied areas. There were some utilitarian purposes of the speaker behind Lu Xun's discourses with selectivity, one-sidedness and timeliness.Chapterâ…¢, "Lu Xun's discourses and literature in the Kuomintang-occupied areas." This chapter attempts to give some generalization and summarization in the impact of Lu Xun's words in the Kuomintang-controlled areas during the Anti-Japanese war. In the Kuomintang-controlled areas during the Anti-Japanese war, many different discourses of Lu Xun in conflict with each other collisions involved the cultural formation in the Kuomintang-controlled areas and literary debate expansion. It also played an important role for the construction of new literature. Lu Xun's discourses which are constructed also participated in constituting the spirit of Chinese intellectuals at that time. By the impact analysis on the individual shape of intellectual spirit because of Lu Xun's discourse, comb the intellectual spirit in the Kuomintang-controlled areas, and examine the ideological change in the situation of Chinese intellectuals, which outline the changes of ideological history of Chinese intellectuals over the past century.
