As a special group, the poverty-stricken students in the colleges and universities have already attracted more and more attention. The establishment of a healthy personality and a scientific outlook on life, values and world view for the poverty-stricken students is an effective way to develop the ideological and political education, and is an important element to maintain the stability for the colleges and universities, and also is one of the most important goals for the higher education. This paper focuses on the ideological and political education for the poverty-stricken students from psychological health and personality development points of view.It is a research about the environment, subject, and method of the ideological and political education to the students, about the mechanism of the psychology education, ideological and political education for higher education. The psychological status and impact factors of the poverty-stricken students are analyzed according to the psychology of personality traits theory and cognitive-behavioral theory, based on which the endogenous factors are extracted by the subjective initiative theory of Marxist and the all-round development theory. Moreover, a combined guiding method and mechanism of the ideological and political education and mental health education for the endogenous factor are proposed based on the ideological and political education theory directed by the scientific concept of development on the all-round development of people.Firstly, the psychological status of the poverty-stricken college students nowadays is investigated. The research results and new problems are analyzed by the methods of document analysis systematically. The psychological status of the poverty-stricken college students are generalized based on questionnaire for psychological, cognitive status of the poverty-stricken students from Dalian University of Technology. The positive mainstream is confirmed, meanwhile, the common problems and main reasons are analyzed. The main endogenous factors for the poverty-stricken college students are extracted by the method of logic analysis, whose element and the function are analyzed. Finally, the guiding actions are proposed with the practical experience and carrier of the ideological and political education at the present.This paper is mainly focus on the three following issues. First, the psychological status and the reason of the common issues for the poverty-stricken college students nowadays and are investigated. Second, what are the endogenous factors and how do they work for the poverty-stricken college students? The endogenous factors are the factors which are generated from the psychological status of the poverty-stricken college students and affect their psychological development at the same time. Endogenous factors should be taken into consideration in the psychological status analysis of the poverty-stricken college students. It means that the psychological status and development request of the psychological status of the poverty-stricken college students should be fully understand aimed at person development, inter desire satisfaction and endogenous driving force stimulation. Third, guiding mechanism of help the poverty-stricken college students develop a healthy psychological status is proposed. Only the positive effect of the endogenous factors can help the poverty-stricken college students to establish a correct values, to enrich the self culture acknowledge, to develop a positive and healthy personality. All of these will encourage the poverty-stricken college students to take action into the psychological development initiatively and benefit from it in turn.In this paper, the factors affect the psychological development of the poverty-stricken college students are classified into two groups: inter factors and extern factors. Meanwhile, a new conception of endogenous factors is proposed. The conception of endogenous factors and how do they affect the poverty-stricken college students are analyzed. A guiding method based on the endogenous driving force of the poverty-stricken college students is proposed, in which the ideological and political education to the students are combined together.
