A Study On The Relationship Between Helping Tendency Of Poor College Students And Social Support And Appreciation

As an important part of pro-social behavior tendency,helping others represents the recognition and closeness of individuals to society,which is of great significance for promoting the harmonious development of society.For poor college students,because their economic level is lower than that of ordinary college students,it is easier to create a sense of social injustice,which may lead to their poor tendency to help others,and eventually lead to less close to the society of poor college students,affecting the development of college students in society.At present,the social support and gratitude of college students have been proved to be closely related to the tendency of helping others at the theoretical or empirical level,so it is possible to improve the tendency of helping poor college students from the perspective of social support and gratitude.However,there are still some deficiencies in the related research fields of helping tendency of poor college students: lack of reliable and valid measuring tools for helping tendency of poor college students,unclear characteristics of helping tendency of poor college students,and the relationship between helping tendency of poor college students and social support and gratitude needs to be confirmed.Based on this,this study,on the basis of defining the characteristics and influencing factors of helping tendency of impoverished college students effectively,provides a basis for promoting helping tendency of College students.In the first study,in order to better study the helping tendency of poor university students,this study revised the helping tendency scale of poor university students according to the previous research tools and the revision process of the scale.In the second part of the study,we measured the helping tendency of impoverished college students by using the help intention scale developed by the research institute,and analyzed the current characteristics of helping tendency of impoverished college students.In addition,we also measured the social support and gratitude of impoverished college students by using the mature scale.We also measured the helping tendency,social support and gratitude of impoverished college students.The relationship between them and the influence mechanism of social support and gratitude on helping tendency of impoverished college students are analyzed.The final results are as follows:(1)The Help Tendency Scale for Poverty-stricken College Students,which includes Help Tendency,Help Cognition and Help Motivation,has good reliability and validity.(2)Poor college students have a poor tendency to help others,the worst of which is helping others.(3)There are significant differences in the background factors such as gender,grade,poverty level,whether they have only one child or not,and whether they accept Extra-School financial aid.(4)There is a significant correlation among helping tendency,social support and gratitude of impoverished college students,and the gratitude of impoverished college students can play a part of intermediary role in the influence of social support on helping tendency.Based on the results of this study,we can improve the tendency of poor college students to help others from the perspective of the characteristics of the current situation and social support and gratitude.
