The importance of teaching language can never be overstated in classroom teaching, as it facilitates students' learning and sets a good example for future teachers to follow. Based on this recognition, this thesis makes a tentative study of learning standardized teaching language among students majoring in English language teaching. It first of all introduces the general situation in this particular aspect, then discusses the relevant theories guiding this field of study, and then conducts a case study in an effort to detect problems in teaching language used by future teachers in their practitional classes. After a detailed analysis, the paper concludes that to improve English learning and enhance the students' ability to teach in the future, it is imperative for the teachers and students to make joint efforts in standardizing their talk in classroom. Teachers are supposed to update themselves and make their talk at class standard, concise and correct, and students should develop an awareness in learning from their teachers' performance at class, though they on the other hand must also make effort to improve their comprehensive ability to use English.
