The Investigation On Poor College Students' Mental Health Situation In Transition Period

In recent years, as universities'enrollment continues to expand, the number of poor students in universities rise continually, our country has attached great importance to the issue of poor students in universities, the universities have been gradually set up a wide range of policy on imbursing poor students, whose principal part is"prize, loan, diligence, and make up, minus", which effectively reduced the financial burden on poor students. However, in addition to financial assistance for poor students, we should be more concerned about the mental health of poor students, concerned about their physical and mental health. Because of family financial difficulties, poor students endure tremendous economic pressure, they prone to produce low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and other adverse psychological experience, even to develop serious mental illness so that unable to extricate themselves, so concerning about the mental health of poor students plays a major role on promoting poor students'healthy growth, helping poor students successfully complete their education, maintaining the stable development of universities. In this article, we choose part poor students in Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical Engineering as the sample, make a survey through the SCL-90 tabulation and self-made questionnaire, analyze the poor college students'psychological state of health comprehensively. Full-text is divided into five chapters:ChapterⅠis the introduction, based on the period of social transition explain the background and significance of the subject as well as the status of international research , and point out the innovation of this article and the research methods.Chapter II analyze the poor college students'status, using self-made questionnaire to survey the basic information of the poor students, analyze their studying and living conditions and family economic conditions.ChapterⅢis the survey and analysis of poor college students'mental health, firstly use the SCL -90 tabulation to make a test on the poor students, the object are extracted from the freshmen'psychological files in Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical, analyze the poor students'various factors on SCL-90, and make a comparative analysis on different groups of poor students'mental health; Secondly, analyze the self-made questionnaire, analyze the obfuscation and pressure of the poor students and their sources of stress coping styles; Finally, according to the above inquiries sum up the poor students'psychological characteristics .Chapter IV is the factors that impact the poor students'mental health, analyze respectively from four aspects: the social, school, family and individual.Chapter V is the countermeasure to improve the level of poor students'mental health, firstly sum up three basic principles: material support combine with the spiritual support, the implicit support combine with the dominant support, assisting poor students combine with educating. Finally, relation to practice, from five aspects—the state, society, schools, families, poor students themselves, put forward specific measures to promote the poor students'level of mental health.
