In this thesis, we make a study on the cognition of senior overseas students about Chinese Political Neologisms by questionnaire survey. The result indicates that the overseas students from different countries have different cognition about Chinese Political Neologisms:the best one goes to Japan and Korea, and then Southeast Asia, the last one is western countries; the students who have working experience are better than the students who haven't in the understanding of Chinese Political Neologisms; and the inner structure and meaning of the Chinese Political Neologisms also have influences on the cognition. From the analysis of the results, the cognition of senior overseas students about Chinese Political Neologisms is influenced by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include the meaning and the inner constructions of the Neologisms, and the external factors include the background and the cultural knowledge, etc.As in TCFL, Firstly, we should pay great attention to teaching material from newspapers and magazines of TSCL; secondly, we should attach importance to the teaching of the cultural background; thirdly, we'd better grasp the rule of such words and make a classification for the teaching. In addition, the initiative of the students is also very important. Last by not the least, in TCFL, we should observe proper principles in choosing learners and Political Neologisms.
