Individual self-consciousness and self-evaluation is developing rapidly in middle school.Academic self-efficacy is one of the individual subjective feelings in the self-cognition and self-ability assessment. Health promotion of academic self-efficacy is of great significance for middle school students to relieve schoolwork stress and create a good self-awareness,and It has laid a good foundation for the formation of excellent psychological quality in adult.To some extent,academic self-efficacy is affected by parenting style,so the study focus on parenting styles’influence on students’ academic self-efficacy.meanwhile,It look forward to enrich the achievements based on previous academic research in the field.The study uses Questionnaire of Parenting Style and Questionnaire of Academic self-efficacy to test546middle school students and analyze data by variance-analysis,regression-analysis and correlation-analysis.The results are as follows:(1)Parenting style of Middle school students includes the emotional warmth and understanding, excessive interference and over-protection.The total academic self-efficacy is slightly higher than the norm.(2)Parenting styles showed significant differences in various demographic variables.as an innovation point,the research is also to investigate the impact on parenting style and academic self-efficacy made by different learning levels of students in the class.①In terms of severe punishment,excessive interference,rejection of parenting styles and mother’s excessive interference and over-protection,the boys’scores are extremely higher than the girls’②In terms of the origin variable,the urban students’scores of parenting style’emotional warmth and understanding and mother’preference-subject are extremely higher than rural students’③In terms of the variable of one-child, fathers’ over-interference,preference-subject and mothers’over-interference and protection and preference, the scores of the singles’are extremely higher than the non-singles’.④In terms of the grades,Parenting style of middle school grade two and high school grade two students is mainly the emotional warmth and understanding and preference in.Parenting styles’severe punishment,rejection and excessive interference and over-protection,the scores of grade one and grade two are extremely higher than others’,⑤In term of the class variable,the scores of parental preference-subject and father’s excessive interference in the art classes is the highest,followed by the middle classes, and the scores of excellent class is the lowest,which shows a significant difference.⑥In terms of Mothers’emotional warmth and understanding,the scores of students in14and15years old are higher than the other ages.⑦In terms of the parental education variable,it shows that the higher the education level of parents is, the higher the scores of parenting styles of emotional warmth and understanding is.⑧In terms of family-income variable,it shows that the higher mothers’income level is,the higher the scores of mothers’emotional warmth and understanding is.⑨In terms of different learning levels of students in the class and emotional warmth and understanding,the scores of the excellence students are significantly higher than the average’s and the poor’s,and the scores of the good are significantly higher than the poor’s.In terms of preference--subject,the scores of the average are significantly higher than the excellence’s and the good’s.(3)In terms of family--income variable,it shows that the higher the parents’income is,the higher students’academic self-efficacy is. In terms of different learning levels of students in the class,academic self-efficacy shows obvious differences between the four levels of achievement hierarchy.(4)There is significantly positive moderately correlation between parental emotional warmth and understanding with academic self-efficacy scores and factor--scores. There is significantly negative moderately correlation between parent’s severe punishment, mother’s rejection and deny with learning behavio-r-self-efficacy. There is significantly negative moderately correlation between mothers’severe punishment and rejection with academic self-efficacy.(5)The score of mothers’emotional warmth and understanding significantly forecasts the total score and the factor--score of academic self-efficacy in a positive way. Fathers’severe punishment variable forecasts learning ability self-efficacy in a positive way. Mothers’preference--subject variable forecasts learning ability self-efficacy in a negative way.
