The senior high school stage is a transition from adolescence to youth. It is also apsychologically rapid development of self- concept, self- evaluation, self- consciousness andself- identity of young pupils. The students’psychological development has a close relation withtheir parents’education mode. The academic self- efficacy is the core of self- concept. The activeeducation mode of parents and the high level academic self- efficacy has a positive predicativeeffect on the students’scores. Refer to self- efficacy, many studies focus mainly on the academicattribution and learning strategies and the research objects are mainly college students and thestudents in vocational schools. This study fixes upon the students in senior middle schools byadopting the questionnaires of the parents’education mode and the self–efficacy form.Altogether 692 senior high school students are studied. A preliminary research has been done onthe demographic characteristics of the parenting style and the academic self- efficacy by makingvariance analysis and Pearson correlation coefficient. The study also makes a comparisonbetween the relation of parenting style, the academic self- efficacy and academic achievement ofthe students in high schools.The study shows as the following results:⑴The parenting style of senior high school students are different in urban and rural regions,grades, families, parents degree, parents professional, gender, singles and non-singles. In theirparents’ emotional warmth no gender differences on understanding factor. High grade studentsmore by his father of interference, protection, rejection, and denied that more severely punishedby his mother.⑵The high school academic self- efficacy remains the same among areas ( urban, rural ),gender, singles and non-singles, father’s occupation. The different in grades, families, parentsdegree, mother’s occupation. Optimal difference exists extremely significant difference. Highgrade the students’ learning self-efficacy and higher than the three are low.⑶There is significant correlation between the parenting style and the senior high schoolacademic self- efficacy and academic achievement.Parents emotional warmth understanding andacademic performance exist very significant positive correlation. Father penalty, interference, refused to deny, mother of punishment, and interference, preferences and academic achievementis very significant negative correlation. The academic self-efficacy and academic performance isvery significant positive correlation. The academic behavior self-efficacy and academicperformance were positively correlated.⑷The parenting style of high school students the parents in too much interference, thefather of emotional warmth understanding can be used to predict academic performance. Theacademic self-efficacy positively predict academic achievement, learning behavior self-efficacynegative predict academic achievement.
