The production and development of LOGO, an important hallmark of modern society, is the crystallization of both material civilization and spiritual civilization. Appearing simultaneously with graphs, logo is a sign which annotates properties and features. Since the emergence of modern industrial revolution, market and international economy is promoted because of the appearance of mechanized mass production and more frequent circulation of products. The design of LOGO, as part of the operation of commodity production, has been endowed modern significance and become one important image feature of companies, enterprises and organizations, playing an invaluable and irreplaceable role in the development of market economy. Contemporarily, increased competition in market economy motivates companies to search for new means to upgrade its capability of competition in their industries. Therefore, companies regard upgrading the artistic value of LOGO designing as one important means to reveal their individuality and culture."Different times would produce different cultural forms." Since the contemporary design of LOGO has been produced and developed in today's New Media age in which the media technology is highly advanced, it surely would appear in a brand new visual artistic form in such a diverse, changeable information age. New demands are raised when we are making a full range of research on the design of Logo because of the brand new concepts, perspectives, methods, and features. Adopting a conscientious and cautious approach, we will make a systematic and incisive analysis on the creation and artistic rules of the design of the LOGO from the following aspects:its production time, geographical features, cultural psychology, styles, techniques, forms and composition, etc.
