Orff Schulwerk and Suzuki Method are both of the four well-known music teaching methodologies in the 20th century, with the former appearing in German where music education had enjoyed mature development, and the later in Japan, just a sea away from us. With comparative analysis, we will make clear the differences and similarities between these two methodologies, so that we can borrow useful elements from them to solve the problems we encounter during the process of implementing music education. This thesis is expanded with comparative analysis of these two methodologies as the starting point, aiming to pave way for music education of preschool children in our country. This thesis tries to discuss with a large number of theoretical information and with practical observation. So we can get their respective characteristics and common features, and then search for how to implement our preschool music education from the comparison. The author notices that few people lay hands on comparative analysis of these two methodologies and there are no profound works and discourses, either.
