Localization is one of the main components of the Orff teaching method,it is also the reason why the Orff approach is widely used and internationally renowned.Ever since Orff's teaching method entered our country in the 80 s,it has experienced three stages of development,including “introductory phase,developmental phase and further developmental phase”.We are now faced with the latter stage.Although each stage is different in their representation,how we can utilize the Orff localization method has always been the focus of our research.At present,through the educational reform and expansion,new legislations and protocols have broadened the use of the Orff's localization method,thus allowing us to utilize these methods as a basis to improve music education throughout our society.Using Taiwan Meiyu music education as a case study,through extensive research in particular the localization method in children's rhythm teaching.We can reiterate its current stage of development in China and formulate an optimized plan in relation to its present practice.The thesis consists of three sections,the first chapter focusses on children's rhythm education,Orff education,the Orff approach and the aetiology of the localization method.The second chapter discusses rhythmic education utilizing the Taiwan Meiyu music education in society a model,with a brief introduction of the Taiwan Meiyu music education.It offers an explanation to the Orff's localization approach with regard to language,sound and musical instruments.The third chapter explores the current state and the problems that have arisen in such institutes and offers resolution to its reform.
