Chinese educated youth film works are defined by describing educated youth groups or individuals in the main, by the historical background"to the mountains to the countryside"during the Cultural Revolution Movement, by talking about life experiences ,life chances and life fate of the educated city youth after the Cultural Revolution Movement. Educated youth in China have began 17 years before the Cultural Revolution, so far, have had over half a century of evolution. The thesis does research on the production, dissemination, and influence of the Chinese educated youth and on the film text itself to discover the overall development of educated youth film processes and paradigms. The thesis divides Chinese Educated Youth film works into four periods, sums up the stage characteristics of each period, and treats the representative film of each stage of as a case study,because educated youth literature and the educated youth film complement each other, so studying the process and the paradigm of the Educated Youth Film not only has the literary history meaning, but also are important historical and cultural clues of studying the educated youth history.
