Discourse Studies Of The Intertextual SMS

SMS as a popular cultural phenomenon, has been the favor of the field of linguistics, but discourse studies from the "intertextuality"point of view are limited."Intertextuality" is a term from the Western literary theory, found by the French scientists and literary critic Julia Kristeva first. It is different from the "huwen" lattice in the Chinese traditional culture,mainly refering to the discourse phenomena,that one text infiltrate, interweave, mix with other texts."Intertextuality" theory has been more widely used in foreign language text since it enter the domestic language scholars,but it has ignored the Chinese text for a long time.In fact, the Chinese has a prominent feature of intertextuality because it emphasise semantics,but ignore style.Therefore, this paper select SMS which is a relatively closed text as a represent which will analyse the Chinese text of intertextual characteristics.We wish to promote the theory of "Intertextuality " in the Chinese language and academic research.This paper is divided into seven parts:Introduction section describes the research results of the SMS, the situation of study of "intertextuality", the situation of study of "intertextuality" in the SMS. It also sets out the research topics of significance, describes the research methods and the source corpus.Chapterâ…¡classify the SMS of "intertextuality" as follows:the word or phrase as "intertextuality" manifestations of SMS, the order clause or series of clauses as "intertextuality" manifestations of SMS, the chapter as "intertextuality" manifestations of SMS, the code-switching as "intertextuality" manifestations of SMS.Chapterâ…¢analyse the production mechanism of the SMS of "intertextuality" which is analyzed from the level of language use. Chapterâ…£provides an overview of chema theory in the cognitive linguistics first.Then we analyse the formation and understanding process of the SMS of "intertextuality" and has classified the type of text from chema theory.Chapterâ…¤stat the frequency of Stylistic elements in 183 SMS of "Intertextuality"and analyse the cause of this difference.Chapterâ…¥state that the SMS of "intertextuality" has to be standardized because some of them are vulgar and awkward.Chapterâ…¦are the main point of this article and shortcomings. Through research, we have come to the following conclusion:the form of the SMS of "Intertextuality" is abundant and it always achieves a specific expression of results by violating the pragmatic principles; intertextual messages are of two or more kinds of schemata,schema fusion is the characteristics of the SMS of "Intertextuality";there is obvious difference in penetration of intertextual text,which is in relation to communication tools and socio-economic development; intertextual SMS also need to regulate.
