The Research On Textile Word Collocation And Sememe Combination From The Pre-Qin Period To The Six Dynasties

The main body of the paper is constituted to detailed analysis of collocation of textile words and combination of their sememes, based on former researches. The purpose of the paper is to clearly describe of the process of semantic evolution of words in ancient Chinese, furthermore to study the combination and evolution of sememes. The dissertation contains five parts as follows:In the introduction part, the paper introduces the researching objectives, the purpose and significance of the study, the hypothesis and method of the study, the resources of language data and the literature review of past co-relational research.In the second part, the paper describes the development and collocation of textile words. Firstly, the paper analyses the changes of textile words on quality and quantity; Secondly, the paper analyses the collocation the textile words including collocation between textile words themselves and collocation between textile words and non-textile words; Finally, the paper analyses new collocations. We can reach such a conclusion:during the process with the disappearance and change of original meanings, the collocation of textile words becomes less and less; but with the development of extending meanings of abstract sememes, the collocation, especially with abstract words becomes more and more.In the third part, the paper studies regulations of combination from three aspects. First, we analyses textile words from semanteme angle, which includes agent action relation, object action relation and action time relation, action location relation etc. Secondly, we analyses the sememes combination rules of textile words from grammar angle. Grammar structure includes the relationship of sememe combination and non-combination. Thirdly, we analyses the sememes combination rules of textile words from pragmatic angle, which includes rhetoric regulation, semanteme color regulation and melody regulation mainly.In the fourth part, the paper describes sememes evolution of textile words and the significance of combinations. First, we distinguish the result of the evolution which includes the transfer of sememes, the increase and decrease of sememes, the substitution of sememes and the changes of semantic color. Secondly, the paper analyses the interaction of the evolution and combination of sememes. At last, we summarizes briefly how combination relationship influences sememes of textile words by using arithmetic methods. In the part of conclusion, the thesis sums up the main idea of the whole thesis, and points out the direction of further studies.
