The Origin, Characteristics And Influences Of Chinese Seal Art Style During The Sui And Tang Dynasty

In the history of Chinese seal art style, the Sui and Tang Dynasty is the changing origin of the official seal system and seal style system in the late Chinese feudal society. In this thesis the real official seal and the seal mark of Sui and Tang Dynasty which are available currently are collected, basing on dating standard of the collection, considering the evolution factors of seal system and calligraphy before and after the Sui and Tang Dynasty, the performance of the Sui and Tang official seal and the forming factors of the seal style are discussed.Main points of this paper are as follows:The factors of systematic changing are the important motivation of the change of the Sui and Tang seal style, and the natural transformation of the seal character configuration after the Northern Dynasties and the gradual introduction of the famous experts'calligraphy style during Tang Dynasty are the cultural conditions of the formation and evolution of Sui and Tang seal style system. As the strong influence of social, economic, and cultural of the Sui and Tang Dynasty, the seal system and stlye had a direct effect on the seal of surrounding national regime, the Korean Peninsula and Japan. The official seal system and style after two Song Dynasties are aslo the subsequent performance of this system.Therefore, the author believes that the status and role of the the Sui and Tang Dynasty seal style in the Chinese seal art history should be reappraised...
