Chinese traditional painting is the representative of Chinese culture, it is very necessary to teaching Chinese traditional painting in primary school, it helps to inheriting the essence of Chinese culture and traditional aesthetic thought. Compared with the traditional teaching professional colleges, according to the primary and middle school students to the basic teaching but progress has been slowing, lack of students' creative research by teaching Chinese painting. It forms a narrow-minded viewpoint about students' creativity during studying Chinese painting currently, that is to say:expressive ability equals creativity. The author believe that creativity is not only the cultivation techniques of creation, to cultivate students' innovative spirit and character is much more important.Teaching Chinese painting in primary school for cultivating students' creativity is relatively weak, the art teachers ignore students' creativity, the phenomenon of their work tend to identity is already common occurrence. To find out the problem, we should conduct a investigation of students to learn about Chinese cognitive and current situation, to ascertain this phenomenon, draw some corresponding conclusions.This article is divided into four parts. The first part mainly aimed at a series of Chinese teaching concept and definition names, according to the Chinese themselves characteristics to create teaching. The second part investigate related literatures Art teaching syllabus and Art curriculum standard,compare among three sets of Chinese art textbooks in teaching content and methods of cultivating students' creativity. Implement Case studies for a student learning Chinese tracking survey, aimed at the development of creative and painting. In the part proposed effective techniques of creativity teaching strategies and teaching methods, definite to cultivate students' creativity of the Chinese explicit teaching goal and content. The relationship between opposite of creative thinking through the painting school-based curriculum teaching. In addition, according to Chinese standard and special evaluation method of assessment. In the fourth part review cultivating students' creativity in teaching Chinese painting, pointed out the limitations and insufficient in this article, put forward the prospects and suggestions further in cultivating students' creativity.
