The Japanese package design has been in the forefront of the area in the world. MUJI, as a unique brand in Japan, is typical in its design. The whole design is succinct and simple, and so are the designing style and the brand ideology. This kind of design represents a new philosophy of life and advocates the simple living style. MUJI has become popular in the world through the advancing strategy of"No brand"and simple products of good quality. As a result, package design in terms of minimalism has become widespread all over the world.This thesis attempts to analyze the non-substantial aspects and visual transmission of modeling by analyzing the cultural background of the MUJI design. The author hopes that this thesis can help designers in our country to combine innovation and tradition with ideology and investigation in terms of MUJI on the basis of designing itself.
