Study Of Directional Verbs In Jin Ping Mei

This paper is mainly about the Directional Verbs of"Jin Ping Mei", according to the principle of combination of syntax and meaning , we have a detailed description of the directional verbs, involved semantic and grammar to explain the phenomenon. Through research on directional verbs in"Jin Ping Mei", we can understand the semantic and grammatical features of the time of"Jin Ping Mei",as well as the inheritance relationship with modern Chinese. This paper provides a useful reference for the study of the history of Chinese grammar . The paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter. Introduce a review research of"Jin Ping Mei"and research of directional verbs . We do a general research about the issue on the current status, this also provide the basis for this article. We put forward the point of view, define the directional verbs in "Jin Ping Mei" and we all describe 41 directional verbs.ChapterⅡ, Rules of directional verbs as Syntactic component in "Jin Ping Mei". This chapter we main analyze and summarize the structure of directional verbs in "Jin Ping Mei" when directional verbs as predicate or complement in a sentence , with a focus on the disappeared structure in modern Chinese "动+将+趋" and the format "动+得+趋".ChapterⅢ, Semantic Analysis of directional verbs in "Jin Ping Mei". This chapter we do a detailed semantic analysis of the directional verbs in"Jin Ping Mei"and do a comparative analysis with modern Chinese, find that the usage of directional verbs in"Jin Ping Mei"is very similar to modern Chinese, but there are some differences.Chapter Conclusion. This chapter summarizes the trend of the development rules of directional verbs: gradual change, unbalance, compensatory. These laws are not separate, but parallel, that is, its development is gradual, unbalance, it follows the compensatory law.
