Study Of Problems And Countermeasures Concerning The Development Of Engineering Ethics Education In China

Throughout the ages, the engineering activities were greatly promoted the development of social productivity, and reflected the result of the progress of human society and civilization. When the society developed into the era of engineering, the human realized the material reconstruction and practice to the real world through the creative engineering activities which is systemic, organized. Engineering activities becomes the main subject of the economic life and social activities of human. As an activity of social practice, the engineering activities will inevitably involve to the relationships between people, the relationship between man and society, and even the relationship between people and the environment. The research and regulation on these relationships can promote the healthy development of engineering activities and the sustainable development of the engineering industry. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out researches based on ethical relations and behavior to all kind of phenomenon and problems in activities.With the deepening of human engineering practice, the relationship between the main subjects of engineering activities becomes more and more complex. The gap between the development of the quality of engineers and technicians and the expectations as well as demands of society is increasing gradually, while the project's negative impacts on social and environmental were growth trends too. As the main subject of the design, organization, implementation, management of the engineering activities, what responsibility should engineers and technicians assumed for the quality and effect of the engineering activities, what is the impact on social and environmental play by their activities become the focus of increasing concern. Here, the ethic researches in the engineering expand from a simple professional conduct and criterion to the field of social ethics and environmental ethics.As an important part of engineering education, engineering ethics education has widely spread in the world. In this paper, using the history of the initiation and development of engineering ethics as the clues, at the basis of combined with the situation of ethics education carry out at both at home and abroad, giving an objective evaluation on advantages and characteristics of carry out engineering ethics education of the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries, analyze the social background of the development of engineering ethics education. Aim at China's specific national conditions, analyze the specific problems from the educational objectives, educational content, subject and object of education, methods and means of educational, effect evaluation, analysis the major factor of restricting the development of engineering ethics education in our country from three areas of the concept, the training of personnel, engineering education system, from the existing educational resources and socio-cultural background, use the innovate of education model which is suit the national conditions of China to accelerate the development of engineering ethics education .This project proposed that in order to develop ethics education with Chinese characteristics, we should establish a triune security system. Put forward countermeasure for the development of ethics education in our country from three aspect which is providing an ideological guarantee by realize the importance of engineering ethics education from the strategic perspective; providing basic security by education system which is scientific and standardized; providing development guarantee by creating good conditions. Train engineering and technical personnel which is specialization, professionalization and international in line with China's national conditions.
